Nomad Lures

TPE (thermoplastic elastomer) is a strong, super-stretchy and ultra-durable material that is more resilient to cuts, nicks, and tears from casting into heavy structures or getting crunched by big fish. Like most other plastics on the market, it’s important not to store two different types of plastics together as they can cause a chemical reaction, which can deform or melt the plastic.

Some tips for storing your Nomad Design TPE lures:

• The safest place to store your TPE lures is the original packaging. Another option is a TPE-safe, or “Wormproof” tackle box or tray. These are specifically designed to not react with TPE materials. 

• Never allow your TPE lures to touch non-TPE plastics. You can store TPE products of the same brand together, but they must be kept separate from other branded TPE products and non-TPE plastics.

• Avoid high heat. Temperatures over 70°C or 150°F can cause the TPE materials to soften. Store your lures in a cool place where possible.

Gorilla Through-wire System

The original Gorilla throughwire system has the wire bend around a set of extra plastic supports internally, making the wire less likely to separate from the lure body and ensuring ultimate strength. The through-wire is also welded at both ends of the lure, ensuring you never lose that big fish.

Triple Shield Protection

With Triple Shield Protection, 3 final coats of super tough, clear resin are applied to the outside of all our hard body lures. This provides additional colour depth, and ensures the quality of the finish on your lure is protected and likely to last longer.

Tungsten Weight Transfer System

The tungsten weight transfer system involves an internal lure weight that rolls back to the tail when casting to maximise distance and rolls forward when being retrieved. This perfectly balances the lure and keeps it level when suspending.

HD ABS System

Normal plastic was simply not strong enough for their lures, so Nomad designed a special formula for high-density ABS plastic. This HD ABS is ultimately stronger than other plastics used for lure production. These lures feature a thicker wall construction for superior strength and durability.

Madscad

A twitchbait that can be used on nearly every species for casting and trolling.  The Madscad is by far the most versatile lure in the Nomad range and just catches fish, no matter what size you choose. 

Shikari

A long-casting, shallow diving, slow floating jerkbait with the tungsten weight transfer system. It can be twitched hard on the retrieve to produce an erratic action where the lure will turn 180°, triggering violent strikes from inshore gamefish. It can also be trolled with a significant body roll combined with a nose-to-tail whole-body wiggle when retrieved, making it highly appealing to all predators. The Shikari inshore is also an excellent shallow-water trolling bait.

Squidtrex

Can be slowly rolled or hopped along the bottom with a slow sinking action with a realistic swimming action to entice that bite from inshore predators. The internal weight slides backward into the tail when casting to maximise distance, and then rolls forward when being retrieved to balance the lure and keep it perfectly level.

Swimtrex

The first lipless vibration crankbait to swim like a real baitfish when sinking. It emits vibrations when slow rolled or straight retrieved and features an internal rattle that makes a subtle knocking noise even when swimming downwards. 

Vertrex Max

A deep body profile combined with finely tuned internal weights delivers a soft vibration bait that sinks level without spinning on the drop. Deadly on the cast or vertical jigging presentations from Bream and Flathead to Snapper and Red Emperor.

Slipstream

A revolutionary heavy-duty hybrid lure designed to perfectly mimic a flying fish in both appearance and action in the water. The unique folding wing design allows the wings to fold back when cast for extra distance or when fighting big Tuna and Marlin for reduced drag through the water.
