Western Australia Promotion 2026

Important: These Terms and Conditions govern the TackleWest Boat Giveaway. By entering, each entrant accepts these Terms and Conditions. The promotion is open only to eligible Western Australian residents and is a game of chance.

Key promotion details

1. Promoter

1.1 The promoter is TackleWest of Western Australia, operating the TackleWest retail stores and the website at tacklewest.com.au (Promoter).

1.2 Questions about the promotion may be directed to the Promoter through the contact details published at tacklewest.com.au.

2. Eligibility

2.1 Entry is open only to natural persons who are permanent residents of Western Australia and are aged 18 years or older at the time of entry.

2.2 Employees, officers and contractors of the Promoter, participating suppliers and agencies directly involved in the promotion, and their immediate family members, are not eligible to enter.

2.3 Immediate family means a spouse, de facto partner, parent, child, sibling, grandparent or grandchild, whether natural, adopted or step-related.

2.4 The Promoter may require proof of identity, age and Western Australian residential address before accepting an entry or awarding a prize.

3. Promotion period

3.1 The promotion opens at 12:01 am AWST on 3 October 2026 and closes at 11:59 pm AWST on 30 December 2026 (Promotion Period).

3.2 Purchases made before or after the Promotion Period are not eligible. Entry submissions received after the closing time are invalid, even if the relevant purchase was made during the Promotion Period.

4. Eligible purchases

4.1 An eligible purchase is a purchase of goods from a TackleWest retail store in Western Australia or through tacklewest.com.au during the Promotion Period, after discounts and excluding delivery charges, gift card or voucher purchases, refunds, returns and cancelled or fraudulent transactions.

4.2 A purchase made using a gift card or voucher may qualify only for the amount actually applied to eligible goods. The purchase of the gift card or voucher itself does not qualify.

4.3 If goods are returned, refunded or the transaction is cancelled, all entries attributable to that amount are void. Exchanges do not create additional entries.

4.4 Entrants must retain the original itemised receipt or online order confirmation until all prizes have been awarded.

5. How to enter

5.1 During the Promotion Period, the entrant must make an eligible purchase and upload a clear, complete and legible copy of the receipt or online order confirmation through the TackleWest competition upload page at tacklewest.com.au.

5.2 The entrant must provide all requested details accurately, including full name, residential address, email address, telephone number, receipt or order number, purchase date and eligible purchase amount.

5.3 During the Fishing Extravaganza Sale, Black Friday Sale and Boxing Day Sale, as advertised by the Promoter, the entrant receives two entries for each complete $50 of eligible spend. At all other times during the Promotion Period, the entrant receives one entry for each complete $50 of eligible spend.

5.4 Entry calculations are based on the total eligible amount shown on each receipt after discounts. Amounts below a complete $50 increment do not earn a partial entry and cannot be combined across separate receipts.

5.5 Example: a qualifying $150 purchase normally earns three entries. The same qualifying purchase made during one of the advertised bonus-entry sale periods earns six entries.

5.6 Each receipt may be submitted once only. Duplicate, altered, fabricated, incomplete, illegible or previously submitted receipts are invalid. Automated, bulk or third-party entries are prohibited.

5.7 Entry is not automatic at the point of sale. The customer is responsible for completing the upload correctly before the promotion closes. The Promoter is not responsible for a failure to submit, an incorrect upload or inaccurate entrant details.

6. Entry verification

6.1 All entries are provisional until verified by the Promoter against the relevant transaction and receipt.

6.2 The Promoter may request an original receipt, order record, identification or further information and may reject or disqualify an entry that does not comply with these Terms and Conditions.

6.3 The Promoter's reasonable decision concerning eligibility, entry allocation and verification is final, subject to applicable law.

7. Prizes

7.1 First prize is one Stacer 429 Outlaw SC boat package valued at $33,862 including GST. It includes a Yamaha F50LB 50 hp four-stroke outboard, light alloy long trailer with 749 kg ATM, 13 inch wheels and skid setup, Midnight Black carpet, 50 litre fuel tank, marine VHF radio and antenna, Yamaha pre-rig and fitment, fitted rod storage and holders, casting platform fittings and the manufacturer's quoted standard boat features.

7.2 Second prize is a fishing tackle package valued at $10,000 including GST. The final contents are those identified by the Promoter in the applicable prize schedule or promotional material and may include products supplied by participating brands.

7.3 The total maximum prize pool is $43,862 including GST. Values are the recommended retail or quoted values at the time the promotion was prepared. The Promoter is not responsible for later price fluctuations.

7.4 Prizes are not transferable or exchangeable and cannot be taken as cash, except where required by law. If an advertised component becomes unavailable for reasons beyond the Promoter's reasonable control, the Promoter may provide a substitute of equal or greater value, subject to any required regulatory approval.

7.5 Any depiction of a prize is illustrative. Only the components expressly listed in these Terms and Conditions, the prize schedule or the Promoter's final promotional material are included.

8. Draw and winner selection

8.1 The draw will take place at 12:00 noon AWST on 5 January 2027 at a TackleWest business premises in Western Australia using a random electronic draw from all verified eligible entries.

8.2 The first valid entry drawn wins the first prize. The next valid entry drawn wins the second prize. An entrant may win no more than one prize.

8.3 The Promoter may draw reserve entries and record them in order in case a drawn entrant is found to be ineligible or their entry is invalid.

8.4 The draw is a game of chance and skill plays no part in determining the winners.

9. Winner notification and publication

9.1 Each provisional winner will be contacted using the telephone number and email address supplied with their entry within two business days after the draw.

9.2 After verification, each winner's name may be published on tacklewest.com.au and TackleWest social media channels. By entering, each entrant consents to this publication if they win.

9.3 A winner must respond, provide requested verification and accept the prize by 5:00 pm AWST on 31 March 2027.

10. Unclaimed or invalid prizes

10.1 If a provisional winner is ineligible, cannot verify their entry or does not claim the prize by the deadline, the Promoter may award the prize to the next valid reserve entry or conduct an unclaimed prize draw at 12:00 noon AWST on 1 April 2027 at a TackleWest business premises in Western Australia, subject to applicable law.

10.2 Any replacement winner will be notified within two business days and may be published in the same manner as an original winner.

11. Boat collection and winner responsibilities

11.1 TackleWest is supplying the boat package to the confirmed first-prize winner. The winner is responsible for collecting it from the collection location nominated by the Promoter in Western Australia, regardless of where in Western Australia the winner resides.

11.2 The winner must arrange and pay all costs associated with collection and transport, and any registration, licensing, compulsory charges, insurance, fuel, storage, safety equipment, servicing and other costs not expressly included in the prize.

11.3 Collection is subject to availability, completion of verification, signing any reasonable prize receipt or transfer documents and compliance with registration and transport requirements. The winner must collect within 30 days after the Promoter advises that the package is ready, unless another arrangement is agreed in writing.

11.4 Before operating or towing the boat, the winner is responsible for ensuring that the boat, motor, trailer, towing vehicle and operator comply with all applicable licensing, registration, safety, load, towing and insurance requirements.

12. Publicity and privacy

12.1 The Promoter will collect and use personal information to administer the promotion, verify entries, contact and publish winners, deliver prizes, prevent fraud and comply with legal obligations.

12.2 The Promoter may disclose personal information to service providers, suppliers and regulators where reasonably necessary for those purposes. Personal information will otherwise be handled in accordance with the Promoter's privacy policy and applicable privacy law.

12.3 Except where prohibited by law, a winner agrees to participate in reasonable promotional photography or publicity concerning the promotion without additional payment.

13. Technical issues and changes

13.1 The Promoter is not responsible for entries that are lost, late, misdirected, incomplete, corrupted or not received because of technical, network, website, device or communications failures outside its reasonable control.

13.2 If the promotion cannot proceed as planned because of fraud, tampering, technical failure, disaster, government action or another event beyond the Promoter's reasonable control, the Promoter may suspend, modify, cancel or recommence it, subject to applicable law and any required regulatory approval.

13.3 The Promoter may disqualify any person who tampers with the entry process, submits false information, interferes with the promotion or acts unlawfully or in bad faith.

14. Liability

14.1 Nothing in these Terms and Conditions excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee, right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded, including under the Australian Consumer Law.

14.2 To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Promoter is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from entry into the promotion or acceptance, collection, transport, ownership or use of a prize.

14.3 The Promoter does not exclude liability for loss caused by its negligence, fraud or wilful misconduct to the extent that such liability cannot lawfully be excluded.

15. General

15.1 If there is any inconsistency between these Terms and Conditions and abbreviated promotional material, these Terms and Conditions prevail to the extent of the inconsistency.

15.2 If any provision is invalid or unenforceable, it will be read down or severed without affecting the remaining provisions.

15.3 These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Western Australia. Entrants submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Western Australia.

15.4 The promotion will be conducted in accordance with applicable Western Australian trade promotion lottery requirements. These Terms and Conditions must remain available to participants throughout the Promotion Period.
