Daiwa 26 Certate SW Spinning Reel

The Daiwa 26 Certate SW is built for anglers who want serious saltwater power in a reel that remains responsive and refined in the hand. With models from 8000 through to 20000, the range covers heavy jigging, topwater casting and large pelagic fishing.

The latest platform combines Daiwa’s rigid MONOCOQUE body with a POWERDRIVE ZAION rotor, MAGSEALED protection and ATD drag technology to improve cranking efficiency, strength and control under heavy load.

Key Features:

  • POWERDRIVE ZAION rotor for strength with reduced rotational weight
  • Rigid MONOCOQUE body
  • MAGSEALED protection against salt and debris intrusion
  • ATD drag system for smooth, consistent pressure
  • 9+1 bearing system across the range
  • 25kg max drag on 8000–14000 models
  • 30kg max drag on 18000–20000 models
  • PE4–PE10 line capacity depending on model

Which Size Should I Choose?

8000: PE4 / 300m capacity. A strong choice for lighter heavy-tackle jigging, reef work, kingfish and pelagic casting where you still want a relatively compact reel.

10000: PE5 / 300m capacity. A versatile step up for heavier jigging, tuna, kingfish and offshore casting.

14000: PE6 / 300m capacity. Ideal for anglers targeting large kingfish, tuna and GT with heavier topwater and jigging setups.

18000: PE8 / 300m capacity with 30kg max drag. Built for serious heavy-tackle fishing and large pelagics.

20000: PE10 / 300m capacity with 30kg max drag. The maximum-capacity option for extreme jigging, big tuna, GT and other large offshore species.

Gear Ratio Guide

P models: lower gearing for increased torque and heavy jigging applications.

H models: faster retrieve for general heavy saltwater use, jigging and lure casting.

XH models: highest retrieve speed, ideal where fast line pick-up is important for topwater lures and fast-moving pelagics.
