The 26 Daiwa Saltist Hyper series receives its first major redesign in many years, delivering Australian saltwater anglers the most advanced and expansive Saltist Hyper range to date.
Continuing the Saltist Hyper tradition of balancing performance, durability, and value, the 2026 range incorporates many of Daiwa’s latest rod technologies to elevate the series to an entirely new level of refinement and capability.
At the core of the range is Daiwa’s HVF Nanoplus graphite blank technology combined with X45 blank construction, creating rods that are lightweight, crisp, and highly sensitive while maintaining the strength required to handle the harsh demands of Australian saltwater fishing. The advanced X45 construction dramatically reduces blank twist under load, improving casting accuracy, lifting power, and overall rod responsiveness.
Strength and performance are further enhanced in the two-piece models through Daiwa’s V-Joint ferrule technology. Featuring a bias-wrap ferrule construction, V-Joint eliminates flat spots and weak points at the joint, creating a seamless transition that delivers the feel and performance of a one-piece rod while maintaining the convenience of a two-piece design.
The new Saltist Hyper range also introduces Daiwa’s Complete Control Grip system, designed to maximise angler comfort, control, and grip security during long fights and heavy drag applications. The uniquely shaped foregrip trigger allows anglers to naturally lock their finger into position when under load, improving leverage and reducing fatigue.
