The SOS Freedom 8 Shark Deterrent is the latest generation of scientifically tested electronic shark deterrent technology, designed to provide greater confidence for divers, spearfishers, swimmers, surfers and ocean adventurers. Using proven electrical field technology, the Freedom 8 creates a powerful three-dimensional deterrent field that helps reduce the risk of unwanted shark encounters without affecting fish or other marine life.

Compact, lightweight and easy to wear, the Freedom 8 can be mounted to dive gear, kayaks or other water sports equipment. Powered by a rechargeable lithium-ion battery, it delivers up to 7 hours of runtime (temperature dependent) and recharges in approximately 3–3.5 hours, making it ideal for extended days on the water.
