The AFTCO Wire Max Fishing Gloves are designed for serious offshore anglers who require maximum protection when handling leaders and fighting large game fish. Developed with the expertise of Captain Peter B. Wright, world-famous big game skipper, author, and IGFA Hall of Fame member, these gloves are built for the toughest offshore fishing conditions.
The Wire Max gloves feature closed-cell EVA foam covered with super tough Armortex®, providing exceptional protection across the palm, fingers, and thumb when handling mono, wire, or cable leaders. This added protection makes them ideal for leadering big marlin, tuna, and other powerful offshore species.
A Tacky-Grip palm and reinforced fingertips provide improved grip and durability, while Spandura® finger panels increase flexibility and dexterity when handling gear. The vented foam-backed mesh construction helps keep hands cool and allows water to drain quickly during use.
For a secure fit, the gloves include a wrap-around neoprene strap with Velcro® closure over a woven cuff, offering additional support while helping prevent leader snags.
