The Daiwa Bait Junkie EWG Jigheads are purpose-built to maximise the performance of modern soft plastics, giving Australian anglers a strong and reliable weedless rigging option for fishing around heavy structure and cover.

Built around a custom-designed BKK hook with Daiwa’s SaqSas coating, the jighead features a deeper Extra Wide Gap (EWG) profile than traditional designs. This provides the gape, strength and holding power required when targeting hard-fighting species while allowing soft plastics to be rigged weedless.

A precision-engineered flat section on the rear of the hook bend helps lock the plastic securely into position, reducing unwanted movement along the hook shank during casting and retrieving. An integrated lead chin keeper provides additional holding power to keep plastics firmly seated through repeated casts and aggressive strikes.

Following the proven Bait Junkie jighead design philosophy, the flat underside of the lead head allows buoyant soft plastics to stand naturally off the bottom, creating a lifelike presentation when paused.

Designed to confidently fish through snags, weed, timber, rocks and other structure, the Bait Junkie EWG Jighead opens up areas that can be difficult to effectively fish with conventional exposed-hook jigheads.
