Engineered to complement Daiwa’s flagship Saltiga reels, these rods are built for demanding international and remote fishing destinations where species such as giant trevally, dogtooth tuna, yellowfin tuna and other powerful bluewater predators are the target.
At the heart of each Saltiga Expedition is Daiwa’s premium HVF Nanoplus graphite blank, delivering an exceptional combination of strength, responsiveness and reduced weight. X45X Full Shield construction dramatically reduces blank twist during heavy casting and under extreme fighting loads, helping maximise lifting power and energy transfer.
For a multi-piece rod, Daiwa’s V-JOINT Alpha technology is particularly important. The advanced ferrule system creates smoother transitions between sections, allowing the blank to bend and recover more like a premium one-piece rod while retaining the portability of a three-piece design.
Premium Fuji components complete the build, providing the durability, smooth line management and corrosion resistance required for serious saltwater fishing.
