Daiwa’s Spartan range of offshore rods provided keen anglers new options for dedicated lure-casting and jigging actions for chasing Australia’s hardest fighting sportfish. New for 2021, is the addition of the specialist Spartan slow jigging (SJ) models into the already extensive line up.
Holding nothing back, the new range of Spartan SJ rods feature all the best components and technology which deliver unmatched performance.
Beginning with a HVF Nanoplus graphite blank which is lighter & stronger thanks to the nanoplus resin, Spartan SJ then also receives the full X45X Full Shield treatment, reducing twisting under load thanks to increased torsional stiffness. Spartan SJ also features Daiwa’s patented 3DX carbon weave on the lower most section of the blank increasing bottom end grunt and lifting power for pulling stubborn fish off the bottom.
Outfitted with Daiwa’s Airsensor reel seats, Spartan SJ rods are incredibly lightweight and when paired with a reel such as a Lexa HD or Saltiga LD provides a compact yet powerful outfit capable of dishing out plenty of hurt on hard fighting reef species.
Fuji stainless steel silicon carbide (SiC) guides manage lineflow effectively and the clever adjustable EVA pad in the split section means you can protect the rod when travelling in your boats rod holders.
Available in PE ratings 2, 3 & 4 in both spin and spiral wrapped overhead configurations, the new range of Spartan SJ rods will be a welcome addition to the range.
