The Power Trip rod range is engineered to be a deadly fish-fighting tool. Built on a smooth-loading blank with a forgiving tip that transitions into a powerful lower section, these rods allow anglers to confidently lean into heavier drags when battling hard-charging fish.
The Pitch & Switch model is a modern, purpose-designed rod created primarily for deploying and positioning hooked baits in front of marlin. It also performs superbly when trolling both live and rigged baits, making it an exceptionally versatile addition to any gamefishing spread.
Constructed from an advanced blended graphite blank, the rod is beautifully balanced—light in the hand yet impressively robust. Power delivery is perfectly matched to 15kg and 24kg line classes, providing excellent control without sacrificing comfort during prolonged fights.
At 6’8”, the rod length is ideal for accurate bait placement while remaining compact enough for user-friendly fish fighting. The shorter length also offers improved clearance around outboard motors, making it especially practical on smaller boats.
The signature Power Trip blank design features an easy-loading, user-friendly tip, while the lower half of the rod holds substantial reserve power—ready to engage once the rod loads and the power is truly “tripped.”
A two-piece blank with a removable handle makes transport and storage simple, with a packed length of less than 1.4m.
The handle assembly is designed to suit a wide range of rod holders, with reel height positioned for comfort across anglers of different sizes. An alloy gimbal at the butt end locks the rod securely into holders or a gimbal belt, while the hard-wearing slick butt synthetic rear grip ensures smooth, snag-free movement in and out of rod holders.
A Fuji reel seat with a longer LD locking hood allows easy and secure tightening of game reels, and an alloy extension accommodates a wide range of trolling reel sizes. The long, custom-shaped x-hard EVA foregrip in blue Camoufish colour provides excellent grip and comfort under heavy load, with all handle components finished in gun-metal alloy separators and checks for a refined look.
The guide train features Fuji Slim Ring SiC guides in KW frame style, chosen for their tangle-free performance and smooth line flow. These guides deliver excellent knot clearance for conventional knots, minimal line friction thanks to SiC ceramics, and durable stainless-steel frames finished in a modern shiny grey plating.
